SARADA KRISHNA HOMOEOPATHIC MEDICAL COLLEGE KULASEKHARAM PERIPHERAL PHARMACOVIGILANCE CENTRE, SKHMC KULASEKHARAM
Pharmacovigilance Programme for ASU and H Drugs has been rolled out by the Ministry of Ayush, Govt of India under Central Sector Scheme during 2017,with the objective of reporting ADRs, Misleading advts and creating awareness about pharmacovigilance in ASU&H Drugs.
A three tier system is functioning under this program to achieve the objectives.
A protocol of National Pharmacovigilance Programme for ASU& H Drugs was published by Ministry of Ayush in collaboration with WHO in order to have a proper documentation, to regulate, monitor and control the activities of Pharmacovigilance.
Three tier systems of National Pharmacovigilance Coordination Centre, Intermediary Pharmacovigilance Centres, Peripheral Pharmacovigilance Centres were set up throughout the country.
SARADA KRISHNA HOMOEOPATHIC MEDICAL COLLEGE has been approved as one of newly identified Peripheral Pharmacovigilance Centres by the All India Institute of Ayurveda, which is the National Pharmacovigilance Coordination Centre of AYUSH system of Medicine as per their Office Order F.No. B-11003/5/9/2017. AIIA/Admin/1476 dated 26.08.2019 of All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) New Delhi.
The centre started functioning w.e.f. 05.10.2019
