About the Department

Paediatric Department is an elite sector for the teaching & learning of the Post Graduate students with an intake of maximum 6 students per year.

The Department started functioning in the college from 2010, after the introduction of Post Graduation M.D.(Hom.). The Department is thereafter upgraded for conducting Ph.D programmes from 2018 by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai.

Being a Post Graduate Department, after refreshing their understanding in the basic medical science, it mainly focuses on the Clinically Oriented Learning of the children’s  problems by giving them an exposure to effectively practise Homoeopathy in Paediatrics.  

Special Features

• The students are getting Clinical exposure from the 100 bedded NABH accredited collegiate hospital.
• A Memorandum of Understanding with a leading exclusive Paediatric Hospital – Gerdi Gutperle Agasthiyar Muni Child Care Centre at Vellamadam, Nagercoil, Kanniyakumari Dist., where our students are getting mammoth opportunity to observe and learn variety of cases in their OPDs, IPD, PICU and NICU.
• The Department also provides thrust on treating Learning Disability among school going children along with the correction of behavioral disorders for which Homoeopathy can offer excellent results.
